well finally made the switch from x2 to intel c2d.
picked up some stuff today for my rig.

intel c2d e4300
xfx 650i ultra
kingston 1gb x 4
vantec uvled 120mm
already had the ultra120 which ill be using with this.

some pics







will update more pics of the mobo & the setup when i assemble it.
 
This is what he told me over MSN about damages.

RAM sticks :1925 each

6150 for board & 5050 for cpu.

Nice value combo for C2D i must say :)
 
will be running with x850xt pe goldenfrag

damages were
cpu = 5050
mobo = 6150
ram = 1925 each
vantec uvled 120mm = 700
u120 = 2750

will get to ocing soon memnon once i assemble it

i was gonna buy the p5n-e sli. i already have 1 but since i really wont be using sli at all i decided to get the 650i ultra & save money.

yes will be used for 3d work at home which is y i got 4gigs ram.

yes will try to post whatever i can. u can check the full review here till then. the evga 650i ultra is the exact same board, both are reference nvidia designs.

if the xfx and evga boards are exactly the same, even in bios options, we may just have the best price / performance ratio champ over here

for nearly 11.2 K you get the performance that can't be beaten when OC'ed, all that at a great price

let us kno abt the OC results as soon as u can, this thing has made me itch :D

as i said earlier, both the xfx & evga are same. they are both reference nvidia design, so results should be similar.

will assemble today evening. need to get some work done on the x2 & also have to dload all the x64 drivers for the c2d.
