Graphic Cards First ATi X1900GT Benchmarks

From the tests conducted by HKEPC, the X1900GT beats the 7900GT in 3D Mark 05 and 06 but loses out in 3D Mark 03. In Game Tests, the X1900GT leads in Half Life 2 and BattleField 2 but lags behind in FEAR, Doom 3, Splinter Cell and Serious Sam 2. It seems that the 7900GT is still the overall winner in terms of gaming. More details here.

Not quite convincing.

IMHO ATi should be launched the X1900XL before this...
 
Lags behind in FEAR? Hmm that speaks a lot about is performance. Add to that the amount of OC'ed 7900 GT's available and this card dosent look that good. Where is the XL Ati?
 
If this retails for 250, it makes sense but at 350, its ridiculous. But then who knows what street prices will be. The MRP on an x1900xtx is 599 but you can get it for 470-480 these days. So at 250 street price, its a nice deal, any higher and no one will buy it.
 
Yea ur right and i dont see why it wont fall to that price. Consider the X1800 GT), the MSRP was $249 but a month later the prices have fallen and its available for $199. So the price on this should also drop below the 300 mark. But i have a feeling Nvidia still have a product in this range missing. Theres the 7600 GT for 180 and the 7900 GT for 300 but theres a huge gap between these two with no product in 250 price range. 7900 GS anyone?
 
^^True but i doubt theyre making much money off it considering its die size. Its reached its EOL and i guess they want to replace it a more profitable chip.

^^Haha anish, they cant just drop the price of a product. I can say they should drop the price of an x1900 xt to $300 then :P And 7600 GT is already down to 170. Can ATI undercut them and still make a profit, nope they cant yet. RV 570 and 560 supposedly are coming for that.
