Toyota's Jarno Trulli just edged out Ferrari's Michael Schumacher as the quickest race driver in first free practice for the British Grand Prix.

The Italian posted a flying lap of one minute 22.877 seconds to edge Schumacher by 0.048 at Silverstone.

Championship leader Fernando Alonso did not complete a lap in his Renault, but Briton Jenson Button was seventh behind Honda team-mate Rubens Barrichello.

Schumacher is determined to close the gap on Alonso at the top of the standings and admitted earlier in the week a win at Silverstone is vital.

PS: Narrowing down the field from 22 to 12, hope to cover the winning driver among the 12 slots ;)

I'm the first one to bet

90 for Alonso. :D

Here are the picks for this Race:

Drivers: Alonso, Michael and no Kimi this time coz if he's in any position to win, his engine will definitely blow up in the final lap.

Teams: Renault, Ferrari

Only two teams and two drivers this time instead of three. I'd love to see McLaren prove me wrong. :)

Alonso on Pole.

Kimi 2nd. Schumi 3rd. Massa 4th. Fisi 5th.

Button down in 19th!!! HAHAHAHA!!! I love this!!!

His time simply wasnt good enough to get him into the second session of qualifying!!!

^ ^ despo McLaren fanboi :P

Its either Alonso or Michael, Kimi's car would probably die or someone will hit him as usual...

^Card ? :P

I'm hoping its either Schumi or Kimi ..

*Praying for a 1st corner disaster in which Blue Boy loses both legs :P

hehe corrected that, and regarding the loosingleg part is concerned, am hoping ur refering to tyres, if not then u suck, and ofcource needless to say, Alonso is a great driver as well, but howmuch that Renault is helping him we'll know only after he switch's to some other team, meaning next year :P

He may be a great driver , but I dont like him and there are two other drivers on the gird who are better than him ;) .

PS - I dont mind him losing his legs :P

I dont want him to lose 2 legs .... poor thing..... how will he keep up with all the pit-babes then??

but I want him to crash...... This race and the next and the next and the next. But none should be serious :P ...

Go Schumi!!!
