CPU/Mobo Found the Yeti riding a unicorn in the wild; Intel Core i7-13700

That's impressive single-threaded performance compared to 12th gen:

Actually this kind of comparison is fruitless(atleast for now). People have had 12xxx for a year and it has been in the hands of expert overclockers, and they have pushed some chips to their limits, thereby increasing the average scores you see here. And that will happen to the 13gen chip once it has been in the market for a couple of months. That's why a 16 core 13700 doesn't hold a flame to the 12 core 12700 even though 13gen has 33% more cores in the same thermal envelope.

The first step into Intel's teens is rather disappointing
I'll skip the unlucky 13 and may expect more from the 14.

Right now Intel knows that the only market they can sell to is gamers by maxing out the TDP on single or dual core clock speeds. The efficiency is ridiculous.

Probably only the 13400 will be a VFM purchase for gamers and the higher SKUs will be pointless for professional use compared to the 7900X and 7950X.

I like how they represented the 5800X3D lol.
Lol. Should speak with those reviewers who called the 3D variant a waste of money when it launched. Today, 5800x3D is well on its way to achieve cult status. Heck, you can get cpu annd mono and Ram for price of 7900x and beat the 7900x in gaming. Even the top end 13th gen chip lags behind this in some games. I really hope AMD brings atleast one 7xxx with 3D V cache.

Yep, Those who considered it overpriced now tout it as the VFM option for a top-tier gaming experience. Even I'm tempted after seeing those 0.1% and 1% lows. It's one of those things that we don't miss until we try it out.
