Hi guys,
This is not a sale thread, so not sure if I have to post an image or not, or even if this is a valid section to post in.

I got a Lexmark X1270 about 8 months ago from office, as a gift. Its an older model, but hasn't been used, except for testing, which was done in 2006-early 2007, not sure exactly. Its an inkjet MFD and has been lying with me. Sorry to say I never got time to set it up, and never needed to use a printer since I have one at office. This one has copy, and scan capabilities also, aside from printing. No fax.

Obviously I don't have a reciept, although I'd like to clarify that there's nothing shady about this giveaway. Its lying with me, and its up to someone to claim it, I can provide them with a note saying that I gave it to them, or sold it to them, whatever. Just take it awat from my place...catching dust, and will be thrown out as junk, as I've moved to a smaller place and have no space.

I'm looking to give this to someone, anyone really, although local guys can pick it up preferably, but outside guys could make do with bearing just the shipping charges. I'm located in Navi Mumbai.

Anyone's interested, let me know.
 
Yes, that's a good gesture dude! I appreciate it! But make sure you give it to someone who really needs it. Not to someone who will just pick it up and never use it! Like ppl who suffer from Collectisis(just like upgraditis :D) who just collect stuff and never look at them again!

Oops sorry for that. Didn't check for a thread for that.

Not sure how to proceed as in who to give it to, and I have a meeting in 15 min. As someone above suggested I would like to give it to someone who could really use it, or needs a printer, and not someone who just wants it because its free.

Should I give it to the first poster, or am I free to decide on the convenience on who to give it to?
 
Let me help you a little... All those who are applying should be crunching for WCG (Preferably for Team.TE)... And the one with the most points get to take it ;)
 
how about actually putting in a little bit of effort into this giveaway..

why not give it to someone who will REALLY need it. something like a local municipal school which has computers or something like that.

How about TE holding a competition, whatever you guys say, and I gift it to the winner? Because I have got 10+ PMs and I don't know who to give it to. That way it'll be competitive, and may be helpful in any way to this site.

^^I'm new to Mumbai, and its environs, I wouldn't know who to donate it to, and I hardly move away from home or office, but STALKER - I like the way you think...
 
No competition re, just give it to someone needy. In a competition even a person who doesnt needs it the most could win.
 
Whoever wants it has to write why he wants it along with details of how much it will be used etc

Its a place for poor people to learn computers? I'm leaving for home (no internet there just yet) but I will get in touch with him tomorrow. Could anyone PM him for me tonight please? Thanks.

I think Puns and his friends use their Sundays to teach computers and English to handicapped or underpriviledged kids or something at some NGO. :)
