Storage Solutions From where to buy Toshiba and hitachi 2/3TB drive

i got toshiba one and its one of the best drive ever seen ,running cool even in Delhi temp its temp is 46 ,other seagate drive temp is 58 degree
model number is TOSHIBA DT01ACA200 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache.i got it in 5400 rs in nehru place
 
i agree .. the general temp for an non AC environment ( i stay in gurgaon ) should be around 37 °C to around 43 °C max .... if you are saying your standard temp is 46 then it is really high .... if its 58 °C then its near dangerous max temp ( btw the Western Digital Black which is a hot and fast HDD max temp is 60 °C)

U should check airflow and recalibrate the temp of components in your cabinet ... else something will conk off or fry
 
those running hot seagate drives are quite old 500Gb ,so i think they are old technology ! mine Toshiba and wd green both running 45-50 temp
i run my pc around 14-16 hours daily

at present 500 gb running on 55C
1 tb seagate running at 48 c
2 tb wd gree running at 44c
2 tb toshiba running at 43 c
 
hows ur toshiba 2 tb doing .. i am thinking of getting a tb also .... can you share where u bought it from
 
its just running great ,its coolest drive ever even in this Delhi temp its running 44 degree !!
i m planning for buy 2 more 2/3 TB from Toshiba

have you considered this drive Toshiba 2TB 7200RPM SATA Enterprise Hard Drive (MK2002TSKB) ... this is enterprise class and must be even more reliable

btw when are you planning to buy , i am also on lookout for 2 tB's

i have to plan to buy this time 3 tb one if possible as i have 2x2 tb one wd green and other this one Toshiba DT01ACA200 2TB,i want to replace my old 1 tb and 500 gb seagate one with Toshiba
well not sure but most probably first week of august as after 12 th july i will be out of station till 30 july

i did not buy any new drive yet as 300gb is still space there but very soon i will buy ,how much u got the drive ?
 
yes but itdepot are giving 3 yrs warranty only and i got this from distri direct ... i anyway wanted a local purchase
