So how do you manage to use citric acid to clean your machine internals? Do you directly add it into the detergent dispenser, or mix it in hot water and pour it inside the drum, as mentioned by LG?
You mean the big scoop which we get with 2kg powder detergent? Won't that be a bit too muc? That too 2x. I am assuming the total quantity would be 120gms.Just put two scoops of the powder in the drawer
That's the scoop yes. It isn't much when the water used is 15L so the concentration is under 1%. I'd double it for a top loader full of water. You mean the big scoop which we get with 2kg powder detergent? Won't that be a bit too muc? That too 2x. I am assuming the total quantity would be 120gms.
Been a week now, why don't you give us a summary of how things are going and what your impression and reaction of others have been?Installation completed today.
I have given my test kit to a friend to determine his water hardness. Besides, we have got rainfall this week, so I don't think water hardness would have increased. Next month should be fine and will definitely do it if I get the time.Btw can you post the hardness test of your borewell water? This time of the year I expect its at the hardest
I'm interested to know whether rain affects your underground borewell water. It does affect river water but it takes time. Many days of heavy rain to see a drop in hardness.Besides, we have got rainfall this week, so I don't think water hardness would have increased. Next month should be fine and will definitely do it if I get the time.
Actually, since you've had the machine now for a month, why don't you give us a review of how it works and what it is like to wash in 500 ppm water? any ways to improve it like if water was softer etc. Do you think a dedicated water softener or the use of additives is warranted or not?
You have not tried any options yet
How about THIS weekend?Possible only on weekends. Since I have access to the laptop on weekends only.
Will try to. I cannot give any assurance as it depends on my work schedule. How about THIS weekend?
Could you give me a brief summary on the options? While I am aware of the most, incase if I have forgotten. You have not tried any options yet
What did they get in the end ?End user wants a top loader, already has front loader, BOSCH and I am extremely happy with my old school semi my lord.
is it coming or not ?Will try to. I cannot give any assurance as it depends on my work schedule.
I posted earlier about additives that could be usedCould you give me a brief summary on the options? While I am aware of the most, incase if I have forgotten.
How much is this and which model ?I have Anti- Scale system to treat hard water.
Do you notice a difference in wash quality with the hard water compared to your previous location presumably softer water?Overall happy with the machine except for the sound it makes given it runs on belt and pulley.
Lower centre of gravity with a belt-driven system means less vibration compared to DD whose motor is situated higher. This BP mechanism perhaps is also responsible for less vibration and dancing as the power transfer seems smooth unlike in LG DD which has abrupt startup and shutdown which causes my other machine to dance when it is trying to balance the load. This IFB has not left the spot since day one.
What kind of pedestals are those? You can use those fridge pedestal without wheels for washing machine too. The trolley with wheels cause lot of problems like the machine wandering off the spot if there is slope on the floor and dancing if there is imbalance in load. I got that fridge pedestal for about 100 rupees from a local shop. It hasn't cracked yet in the six months I'm using it.I so wished these manufacturers came up with pedestals like what we have in richer economies.
