Laptops Gaming Lappy suggestion

Guide
hullo all.

a friend of mine needs some help with getting himself a new lappie.

as usual he'd like to get the cheapest avail option. he has a budget of anything upto 850usd.

he's gonna be buying in the states.

priority - good discrete gfx.

screen size 15" or lesser

thats about it i guess as far as requirements are concerned.

he's sorta looking at this for now..

seems like a very good deal with the 9650GT M chip..

Darn,both Alienware & XPS gaming laptops are over a 1200$ !

ASUS N80 Series N80Vn-X1 CONS:The keyboard is horrible - literally misses button presses every few seconds. Two letters in a row is almost a guaranteed miss. I'm going to RMA it and hope that things improve, but if not the system is almost useless.

But sure is a good deal with the 9650!

Next best:

Newegg.com - MSI GX630(9S7-165212-028) NoteBook AMD Athlon X2 QL-62(2.00GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA 4GB Memory 250GB HDD DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT - Laptops / Notebooks

Newegg.com - ASUS M51 Series M51TA-X2 NoteBook AMD Turion X2 Ultra ZM-82(2.20GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA+ 4GB Memory 250GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 - Laptops / Notebooks

And for a little more:

Newegg.com - Open Box: ASUS G Series G50V-X1 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo P8400(2.26GHz) 15.4" Wide SXGA+ 4GB Memory 200GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GT

the newer amd proccies and chipsets have supposedly heating probs and low bat life.

i read about it in user reviews at notebookreview.com

ASUS looks like a Good bet.....

Do consider that i guess tomorrow is thanks giving and the prices may drop substantially.......

So may be you can have a look at some costlier alternatives....:D
