U can OC this rig too.

1.C2D e4400=5k (C2D 2xxx is also good with apprx 10-15% performance hit..but in that case AMD will be a better choice)

2.Asus 650i Ultra = 5.4k (Can also look for Bioster p35 )

3.Kingston DDR 667/800 2*1GB = 2.5-2.7K (You may get 1gb now and later upgrde)

4.LiteOn/Sony DVDRW =1.4K (

5.Seagate SATA2 250GB = 2.7K (Get one with the 16mb buffer)

6.Viewsonic VG1930 19"Widescreen = 9.6k (Samsung 740n if yu want to go for square type)

7.Logitech KBD/MSE Combo =.6k

9.Creative SBS 5.1 =2.5K (ATP3 sounds better but believe me..5.1 gaming is something different)

10.Any Cabinet with good Airflow (Look for Iball I648...This one is pretty roomy )

11.Zebronic Pure platinum 500 Watts / Powersafe 500 watts =1.7-2.5k

12. Sparkle 8600GT 256MB =5.8K (Asus performes better but is costly @8k)

-----------------------------------------------

It surpluses your budget but I think you should get atleast this (if not something better) as this is going to be a gaming rig

Thats probably bcoz Asus 8600GT comes factory overclocked..and this nVidia G80 Architecture is very sensitive to raw clock speed..Asus 8600gt performs almost equal to stock 8600gts..

ATi 2600Pro HD is also a very good choice in the same price range but is very difficult to find !

well since its a gaming rig i'de suggest an AMD cuz intel core 2 duo are slightly overpriced.

Processor: AMD 4800+ = 4.8k
Motherboard: Jetway 690G= 3.3k
RAM: Transcend Jetrams 800Mhz=1.5k
Graphic Card: Galaxy 8600GT= 6k
Cabinet: Coolermaster Elite 330=2.6k
PSU: Seventeam 450W=2.6k
Mouse+Keyboard: Logitech MX518+standard keyboard=1.5k
HDD: WDAAKS 250gb=2.7k
Speakers:ATP3=2.5k
i'm not that good in choosing a monitor but i think in the remaining amount u can fit a good monitor
