wud it be wise to buy amd 5600+ for gaming purposes. i also intend to over clock it.

Which graphics card ???? High end CPU wont help U if U settled on low end card, for gaming first select GPU. If U r buying anything above 8800GTS or HD 3850 then go for Intel Core 2 Duo, they r faster @ stock and overclock better, less heat too.

For overclocking we need good RAM, SMPS, Mobo, CPU cooling too. Buy Intel E2140 + Abit IP35-E + 2GB Transcend 667 + ThermalRight Ultima 90i + CM 600W = 15.5k
