Msi/Sapphire HD7850-16k

Seasonic S12ii 620W-4.6k OR Corsair TX650V2-5.2k

Logitech G400-1.4k OR Corsair Vengeance M60-3k

Razer Goliathus Speed OR Control Edition Standard matt-0.8k

What was your psu before?,just curious.

Can you please tell me where HD7850 is available for 16k?

If it is for that price, then you should definately go for it!

For PSU, either TX650V2 or HX650.

The latter one is a modular psu and other than that, it has no advantage over the former.

Hardwire.in has it for ~15500/- [for a Sapphire HD 7850 2GB].

Now apart from that, my suggestions are --

Corsair Vengeance M60 ~3000/-

Corsair VX 550W ~4500/-

Hope this helps, Cheers!!

how is HIS 7850?

The HIS is a good card, the company is a board partner for AMD. If you are getting the HIS IceQ edition of the card for ~16500/-, I would highly recommend that over any standard variant of the HD 7850 [from Sapphire, MSi OR Gigabyte].
Here is what the HIS card looks like --> http://www.hisdigital.com/un/product2-700.shtml.

Okay one more thing for the mouse-pad, I am using the Cooler Master Control edition Tactics pad, it does not reinvent the wheel but I feel it is better than the Razer Goliathus due to the following reasons --
  • thicker pad, so sticks better to the surface you have slapped it on.
  • slightly larger than the Razer pad.
  • It has a darker hue, better for Optical mice, never used a laser mouse on it.
  • nice funny graphics which will endear any FPS fan.

Only HD79xx and HD77xx gpu's are available @smc and HIS is not taken care by aditya it's Sapphire and Zotac.
Good question that one and I am sorry that I have no idea, I think Aditya Infotech is responsible for HIS, before purchasing give them a ring.

Gigabyte And MSi HD 7*** series cards are available at SMC International. I am not aware of the ground situation in Bombay.

ok guys i think i will go ahead with the above mentioned components.

a couple of questions -

1 - what is the current hardisk price in lamington road. 2 tb preferable.

2 - do you guys think the 7850 will be able to run the top games for the next 2 years?

1) The price should be ~7500/- --> 8500/-. Dependent on company, edition. Seagate Barracuda will be pricier but more reliable vis-a-vis Western Digital Green Edition drives. I recommend that instead of buying a 2TB drive, but 2x 1TB drives and stripe them OR just put them in a JBOD configuration.

This is because if the 2TB drive starts malfunctioning you will be in hot-water as to how to recover / replace the DATA you might loose OR loose in case of a worst case scenario.

2) On moderate settings it might serve upto 3 years for most titles @full HD resolution.

Hope this answers your query. Cheers!!
