Will watching Multiplay affect my download speeds?

No. Your ADSL modem is configured during installation to ensure that either service does not affect the other one. In case you change or reset your modem configuration, you will have to register a call at the customer care center for modem reconfiguration.

will donwload speeds of internet increase with IPTV??

No. IPTV Requires much more bandwidth, ADSL2+ can go 24Mbit, how much is speed BSNL going to dedicate to IPTV? who knows. this is an Interesting subject, I can't wait to see how BSNL tackles this; since they need a MAJOR Infrastructure upgrade If they want this to work properly.

Thanks for the information. I was searching the net for the Channel list and the Tariff. Looks very nice. ONly some regional channels missing. And soon this will also come. God save TATA and Zee networks.
:)
Its already here in Bangalore, I want to take a connection. Right now I have DishTV. Want to get rid of this.
But I want to see how it works, will it be a real streaming video? Will there by any time lag? there any buffering? Can I connect directly to a TV or have to watch in comp monitor?

Quality depends on how close your house is to the exchange. I have seen the demo. While quality of some channels is comparable to tata sky, others are not that good. Many people have had problems setting this up.

Cuyrrent channel list is pathetic but that may oimprove over time. Also the time when i checked it had random freezing issues. Also the current set-top box can't provide HD broadcasts. So if you wanna watch HD in the future you will have to get another set-top box. Also i don't think value added services like time shifting is available right now(?).

However it's cheap compared to other options...especially if you are willing to buy a set-top box.
