Are there IDE drives in the T7K250 range? I thought it was strictly SATA II.Eazy said:Here is a comparison of the Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 400gb SATA drive, a Maxtor DiamondMax 10 250gb SATA drive, a Western Digital 74gb SATA drive and a Hitachi Deskstar T7K250 SATA II drive.
If I were to buy a drive today I would buy one from the Hitachi T7K250 series.

I sold one a few days back and it is blazing fast.If you can push your budget a bit, then this drive is worth it.
It cost me something like 8-8.5k
