Getting otp sms from angel one without having account

From time to time i'm getting otp messages from team angel one or angel one. First time i'm hearing about that site and i don't have any account with them. Is it some sort of scam or someone trying something scammy with my mobile no? I just delete the messages.
 
Often ppl by mistake give wrong mobile no. because of single digit difference while signing up for some service usually free/trial based & after some time never bother to use it again leaving that wrong mobile no. in the database of the company which keep sending some sms to it. Angel One is an online stock market broker btw.

Today I also received an OTP msg from team Angel one. I do not have an account or have any dealings with them. This seems to be a habitual thing of Angel one sending OTP msgs to random people . This cannot be a mistake of people missing a digit in the number or giving the wrong number..as suggested by the person above
 
Maybe they are trying to harvest new customers by sending random OTPs to strangers. Some of them might contact to inquire about the OTPs, and then they can pitch their schemes

On a side note, to be on safer side, drop them an email mentioning that you are receiving such otps and that you are not registered...and you should not be bothered again...
