Gmail login problems

Facing this peculiar problem with gmail.

Browser on PC and Mobile is not letting me login to gmail, asks me to enter password again n again.
But the same gmail account is working fine when accessed through Windows live mail client, receives and sends emails.
I rarely login to gmail directly, always used Windows live mail client for all the emails.
I am afraid that trying multiple times might block my gmail. I dont even remember back-up email / mobile connected to this gmail account.

Can login to another another gmail account.

Solution ?
 
Try on a different device (maybe there is some config issue with your system)?
Try a different browser (maybe there is some extension issue in your current browser)?
Try the same device, but on someone else's wifi (maybe gmail thinks your IP is sus)?
When your login fails, do you get an alert email on your gmail? (as you access it from Windows Live Mail)
I don't think it will lock your gmail permanently, but it might put a temporary lock on login attempts.
