Whoa thats a lot of stuff :). How much was the difference in price between the two mobos? Dump those liteon dvd writers and get either benq or pioneer :P

Price difference between the mobos 2000 bucks... Well Got LiteOn cause they were only available... I was confused between ASUS/GIGABYTE /MSI SLI boards... But eventually setteled on MSI cause i dont trust GIGABYTE(Dont ask me why) and ASUS was here with most of you guys so thought out trying something different... One amazing difference... The Platinum has more features than the SLI board... They the black colour of the boards is just too good...

My initial choice for the NF4 Ultra board was A8N E but due to issues with crosair Value select got MSI Neo4 platinum...

AWESOME!!! You thinking of starting up a business or what ??? So much stuff??? and an SLI setup!! WOOHHOO!!!! Wayt to go man!!!

Nikhil posted 2.33 minutes later:

OH maaaann!!! You lucky *bleep* *bleep*....... Sooo damn lucky....... And why 2 rigs??? Better make do with one rig and an SLI setup

Nopes... The SLI board is better unless this is a cheaper version. The SLI has a sb live 24bit which makes up for the 2k diff.

Edit: Oh well just found out that the SLI board only has 1 RJ-45 lan port and also lacks the extra Silicon Image SATA chip. Both of those are expendable though ;)

Whoa ! Seriuosly you must have hit a lottery ! That stuff must be worth atleast 80k if I'm not mistaken...

Instead of 2 X 6800GT you should have got the 7800GTX (would have given you hell lot of bragging rights, plus you would be the first on TE and amongst the top 100 atleast in India to have the card !)

Congrats anyway !

do you plan to overclock this setups? If yes you got the wrong RAM. But do let us know the results if you are overclocking.
The MSI boards has max 2.85vdimm.

No offence mate ! but are those your systems or are they being built for somebosy else ?

@ Sunny and Nikhil - If your spending that much he could have even bought 2 x 7800GTX :bleh:

when did i say i'm spending?? :bleh:

i'll create a similar thread real soon :P

Actuualy the Crosair Ram Sticks and TFT's were bought from outside... Rest all bought from India... Nehru Place to be precise... And yes the systems stays with me for a month then they go away... The systems are being built for my cousions... They got real good marks... The idea of buying one SLI board and two 6800 GT were taken into consideration with keeping future upgrades in mind... The 7800 GTX would be cheaper in around a year so one of them gets the second GT and other gets the GTX...

If i were to buy this for myself then i wouldnt have(Would have waited for DFI SLI and better RAM but damm these kids and also i dont trust them with overclocking)... Most of you know i already own a two decent enough PC so i would not buy two more just for the heck of it... And i feel 6800 GT is enough graphics power as of now... I just wanna know that these are decent enough config's or not...
