Graphic Cards GPU problem

Hello guys
I was watching a movie when suddenly my PC froze and gave me a BSOD with video_tdr_failure error.While rebooting, there were green/horizontal lines all over the screen, and while loading Windows, it again BSOD'd and it froze during POST the 2nd time.I managed to start my system with another gpu .My gpu is 2yrs old and has extended warranty.
i have some queries ,please answer them if possible:

Will it perform same as before after the repair?
should i start saving for new gpu?


My PC config is :
Intel i7 920
zotac gtx 580
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R
corsair H100 water cooler
4gb ram
 
i live in nanded and the nearest service center is in aurangabad(5 hrs journey).So should i send them via courier or go there and have one on one conversation with them.
if they repair the existing one then will it perform same as before .
 
Give them a call. You can courier them the card but after the call. Yes, it will perform same after repair. If it doesn't, you have the right to ask them to rectify it.
