There are lots of dealers selling Sapphire cards in the dealer's section and have mentioned the warranty period as 3 yrs ( which by default should mean 3 yrs parts & labor)

But that doesnt seem to be the case with Sapphire cards as u you can see from the details of the above thread and one dealer has confirmed this in a sale thread in another forum after members posted Sapphire has "2 years parts & Labor+ 1 year labor only".

So i would like the mods/admin to insist the Dealers to put up labor + parts warranty seperately as this would make it clearer to the members. If the dealer is not sure about this then they should be asked to double check with distributor/ RMA center about the Parts+Labor warranty details.

I would request the mods to ask the dealers who sell Sapphire GPU's to edit the warranty details in their threads as 2 yrs parts+ 3 yrs labor instead of 3 yrs warranty which is very misleading. :|

I wanted to make such a thread, you beat me to it

Mods - I would request to make it mandatory for ALL dealers to clearly mention the warranty terms for all products they sell, wherever applicable

Also mention the fine terms and who supports the aftersales.

+1 buddy.. I was really disappointed that the Sapphire terms were such and none of the dealers have ever mentioned in their sale threads. We recommend one product over another considering various criteras and warranty plays a key role. Why would most of the buyers buy a Sapphire had he know it had only 2 years parts warranty when there is a similarly priced Asus/ HIS card with 3 yrs parts and labor warranty.

The sad fact is even some dealers say they weren't aware of this. So i would ask the mods to urge dealers to get full warranty detail from the RMA center/ Distri and post it in their sale threads.

There was a time when all this was simple enough :P. Its the "lifetime" (max is what? 10 years by handful of manufacturers?) warranty tag that needs to be properly cleared out whether its parts/labour. Claiming lifetime warranty is simply vague. Ofcourse there are those who will say "I'll take care of it"- most them do take care of it, atleast most of the forum dealers do.

Further dealers should submit invoice with the serial number of the product to avoid any anomaly at service center. The invoice without SN is like no invoice and dealer should be held responsible for the negligence. I have recently purchased parts from our TE dealer and received improper invoice, for proper invoice message was sent before the dispatch but he deliberately ignored and pinned invoice missing SN.

Knowing your location is Chandigarh I can bet who the dealer in question is. And no it couldn't be Sunish. :P

It's him (Sunish AKA dvdstoredelhi) and he was very rude on phone.

And did you reflect this on his itrader rating?

Order was placed through eBay. I will definetely leave feedback on eBay as well here in the respective feedback thread becuase his behaviour was not acceptable on the phone.

This is sad. The thread is here for more than a day and half and none of the mods have cared to reply. I can still see few threads in dealers paradise selling Sapphire just mentioning 3 yrs manufacturer warranty which is misleading.

I would request the mods to urge the dealers to post seperate parts and labor warranty.

Have been following this thread closely, so don't worry. Actually, a new set of guidelines for dealers paradise and members market too is on the works, 'coz as of now some of the rules are quirky at best. We will definitely consider clearer mention of warranty terms as one of them.

Thats reassuring :)

DA - i suggest you dont mention as 2 years parts + 3 years labor. Somewhere it deceives it as 5 year warranty, at-least for someone who dont know how that works.

A '2 year full + 1 year labor only' makes it look more simpler i guess

just a suggestion tho :)

Thanks pal :)

I buy mostly online these days specially from TE dealers. So I would like to see transparent and clearer details as much as possible.

The earlier Market design had many mandatory fields like for Price, Location etc...

A similar design should be reintroduced, where there must be certain mandatory field entries for Dealer threads like

Warranty period & terms

RMA support contact

Shipping info

Estimated shipping time after payment

etc...

This would also make it easy for Dealers to streamline their deals and also avoid unnecessary questions in their deal threads.
