Hi,

Can you pls suggest me a graphics card for less than 5K?

My current config,

Core 2 Dueo 2.93Ghz

MOBO DG43GT

2x2GB DDR2 RAM Transcend

500GB Seagate HDD

iBall Cabinat - Mystique

iBall Wireless Keyboard & Mouse

I have connected this system to my 37" Samsung LCD TV and display set to 1080P. But planning to connect my another monitor Benq E2420HD after adding the Graphics card

When adding Graphics card do i need to change the PSU?

Also pls suggest me if i need to upgrade anything in the current config.

thx

Your config?
Monitor size? Gaming resolution?
Willing to buy 2nd hand h/w?

If you want a new GPU then the best sub 5k card is the Sapphire HD5670 512MB GDDR5 - 4.4k

id say get the 4850 @4.8k as it will give you better fps and as i can see youll be playing at 1080p .
Youll need to get a new psu for 4850 and it is dx10 .

If you are using the PSU that comes with the cabinet then definitely yes.

What games are you planning to play and at what resolution?

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Reloaded

Call of Duty Black OPS

Kane and Lynch Dead Men

1080P would be fine.

Can you pls suggest a PSU?

my friend too is planning to get the 1gb variant unfortunately he has a CRT monitor will this have any effect on the game play he is not planning to upgrade his monitor for at least 3 to 4 months

I dont think this card can help you game at 1080p. 720p should be fine for COD.

No point in going for 1GB version for this card. There is hardly any performance difference. Stick to a 512MB version and save some bucks :)
