I have done my B.Com. from an open university. Presently working in central government department.I was not able to study after my 12 th , as I got a job( clerical ). Therefore I don't have options other than government bodies which recognises open university degrees. Need advice regarding preparation of English, maths, reasoning subjects, gk . Offline or online, books, coaching classes. I don't get time for attending coaching classes on weekdays therefore planning to prepare on my own. Please help me to escape from the present irritating job.

alright, so i also applied for SSC CGL this year, and i'm currently in my final year..

though i would like to get some more info regarding the preparation but i've collected some info on it, i'm listing the books below..

Maths - R S Agarwal - Quantative Aptitude

Reasoning - R S Agarwal - Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning

English - Any good book will, if you're not confident with your grammer, just look for any book like wren and martin, etc (haven't been able to figure much about english)

General Knowledge - read newspaper daily, and subscribe to any magazine like PD, CSC, CSR, etc.. you basically need to know about current affairs and some historical facts.. also, buy a general knowledge book, there are many..

For Bank PO, i'd suggest

QA - R.S Agarwal and Magical book on quiker maths by M.Tyra (BSC Publications)

Verbal & Non verbal Reasoning - RS Agarwal

English - English is Easy by Chetananand singh (BSC Publications)

GK- Magazines like Banking & You, Pratiyogita Darpan and newspapers.

Also, get IBPS Previous papers (CWE) book from BSC Publications.
