Please suggest me some options.

Samsung is basically the only choice if you want Android so pick up one of the following
Samsung Tablets
I recommend the S6 Lite WiFi

As the two guys above suggested and telling by my own experience as I have couple of android tabs as well as apple ipad... Get the 64gb wifi ipad and make merry..
Totally worth it and does everything, on top with first gen pencil writing experience is awesome.

I got the Lenovo M10 FHD Rel for about 12K . It was the 3GB/32 version to which I added an extra 64 gb MicroSD.
It has a sharp FHD IPS display, and the colors are neutral. The performance isn't super-fast and snappy, but it's quite responsive.

Can be used in these basic ways.
  • ebook software like Cool reader, AI reader, Kindle etc. for epubs/ebooks
  • Comic viewers for comics
  • watching Hotstar/Prime/Youtube
  • Music
  • Use it for Zoom and Teams
  • Use it for Telegram/skype/comms
  • Use it for email
  • Use it for browsing the web
Is it better than an iPad. No.
Does it do what I require it to? Yes.

how many apps can be open at a time, tabs in browser ? Does it become sluggish
Battery life ?

Have a look at the new nokia tab T20 too . Pure stock anndroid and 2years os updates and 3years security updates . I think 15.5 k onwards for 3 gb ram 32 gb storage .
Nokia doesn't quite have thw same pull they once had, however they are a trusted brand so hopefully the products are as good as we all remember. Have they released any other tablet?

With all the new android versions, they're pretty heavy on apps being forced to shut down, but I can have a bunch open, without lag, till the manager decides to kick in and close something that's not been touched.
However, reopening does not take too much time.

As of right now, I have 20 tabs open without lagging.

Battery life is tough to answer, I've gotten an easy 6 hours reading, and it should last more.
However there's an issue with battery drain - if you've charged it to 100% at night, the system keeps using battery and the next day it'll be at 80% instead of 100. This used to happen with my Redmi phone too, so it's not really a 'drawback', but just something to keep in mind.
