Guys recently I check the status of one of my drives it goes like shown on the pic below [attachment=7349:13397.attach]

and what can be done to check that its correct.​
 
Not to worry , just change the sata cable and monitor the hdd for few days if there is any increment in the count. if no change then everything is fine.
 
I too encountered the same problem with my maxtor 80gb sata, changed lots of sata cable but no difference, it still shows the warning. If u check it with previous version of hd tune, you will not see this error.
 
^^ once HDTune reports this error, it will always show it, may be something related to smart values. If the value don't increase your HDD is good.

It signifies the error while reading data from HDD at some specific time.
 
U can try it urself, that error is shown in newer version older version dont show this error
 
Strangely on HD Inspector firstly it was showing this error for 500 gb .. I de fragmented and now this error is showing even on my new 1Tb :( . Mean while HDPro reports that error on the 500gb disk only . Am totally confused whether something is wrong or not :S .
 
Ignore such silly warnings. Always look out for something in yellow exclamatory mark or a red warning relating to your disks performance, health and temps.:)

On my previous st500 i had similar warnings in 3 diff areas & in your case its just once. I still sent it for rma and got another hdd and guess what?? Now the warning is still there :S:( but in only two places instead of previous three. Tried changing sata cables & another mobo port but useless. So now i really dont care till it shows me red/yellow warnings.

Am thinking to do the same ... the more knowledge you have the more tension you have :P . previously only gaming was the thing if the game ran then my PC is awesome :) no matter of FPS quality and all :P haha :) .
