Inernational warranty is available on all Toshiba laptops :D did call up Toshiba India and confirmed it ,after buying the laptop with in 6 months i can upgrade the warranty and i will upgrade it to 3 year care
PS: One bad thing abt the laptop its completely glossy finish which means prone to finger prints:( ,but then i loved the config

hey better go for a300-s5310 thats better then this with 7200 rpm hdd which matters a lot when it comes to performance my cousine bought this one yesterday in delhi for 53000

can u post a link for the same i will getting it from the US

But performance gain on 7200 is hardly noticeable. I'd got it some two years back in my Dell inspiron and man, it generated a lot of heat and no surprises, 6 months back i'd to get a new HDD for my laptop as the older one just died, most probably due to its own heat !
The newer one is a 5400 RPM nd i dont notice any slowdown and also its cooler than the 7200 one

well may in ur case i used my dell and hp for 2 yrs with 7200 rpm and used most of them for download through torrent so 70% uptime in a day still sold well and still working fine with who bought from me. here i am not saying that what he decided is bad as both config is aprox same better go with the one which have slight edge and as far as ram is concern u can upgrade anytime

hey well best is see both the config and check vista score before buying who so ever u feel is better buy it. i am again saying i never mean what all suggested or what u decided is wrong. i just suggested and as far as better deals are concern USA well hell lot of option then why toshiba
