Help! Always error 514 ON TOR/vidalia

Hi guys,
I access Net on Wlan in our University campus. We are allowed access only through a http proxy running on Port 8080m and thus many sites and chat messengers are blocked.

I wanted to use TOR and thus I downloaded Vidalia/privoxy/tor bundle.
In the vidalia control panel I specified the choice that "I use a proxy to access the internet"....

Still I opera cannot access the web, and gives an error message" 514 Authentication required"

The vidalia error lof shows "
May 14 01:44:58.335 [Warning] Received http status code 403 ("Forbidden") from server '194.171.167.147:11378' while fetching "/tor/server/d/E64C47651CC398CA56847617D4947DA989FAFD61.z". I'll try again soon."

can anybody help me pls??
 
Ok, the vidalia log shows just a warning, and it wouldn't cause the problems you are seeing.

This is more to do with your proxy config, as far as I can see. It needs clients to authenticate, and your's isn't.
 
I had the same issue, the solution is very simple :
Go to Tools /Preferences/Advanced/Network/Proxyserver and diseable the case which is entilte "Do not use ...."
And normally it's ok.
