Audio HELP: Auzentech Xplosion

Iam using Auzentech Xplosion coupled with Logitech Z-5500 speakers wich are connected using TOSlink cable.
My question is what should be the System Input? 2Ch or 6Ch?
I know that generally Mp3s are 2ch stereo. So do i need to keep changing the i/p source every time i watch DVD Movies(5.1 Surround) and when i listen Audio in stereo?

Auzentech Xplosion users please help me.Its headache to frequently open the settings and switch b/n 2ch and 6ch:mad: Why cant it automatically detect the input source??:S
 
You dont have to change it every time in PC at all. Just leave it at default 5.1 setup. MP3s will play in stereo only. And you can always just change speaker profile to stereo using speaker remote or control pod.
