I guess this topic should be in Hardware Zone > Graphics Card section to get more replies...

@ OP ,

Your motherboard dont support crossfire so i guess you would be selling your 5670...

In 10k budget, AMD 6850 is good choice ... But which PSU do you have ?? Dont rick your rig by running on generaic PSU, get descent one like [font=arial, sans-serif]Seasonic S12II 520W (~3.5k) before you go for gfx card upgrade ...[/font]

Okay I'm sorry to break this news to you bruv, but your CPU is going to be a major bottleneck to most graphics card of this age [no matter how far you push it].

My advice wait till March, save up and sink in some more money for a overall RIG overhaul as most games these days are optimised to run on the widescreen format [16:9 OR 16:10], so you'll need a new monitor too. Also at the current monitor native resolution of 1366 x 768 the problem is compounded by the factor that the game is more CPU-bound than GPU-bound.

In March the AMD HD7000 series will be out in force, forcing some price revisions [which may OR may not be decisive in your push for assembling a new RIG].

So come March you can pick up this RIG --

Intel Core i5 2400

Intel DH67-BL

G.Skill RIPJAWS 4GB x 2 1600MHz modules ~3400/-

Seasonic S12II 520W ~3500/-

[preserve your current hard drives for this RIG]

any mid-range card then [from the HD 7000 series to nVidia GTX 560 Ti] ~13500/-

If you are not convinced with my views and want an immediate solution, then go for this graphics card + SMPS combo --

AMD HD 6850 ~9500/-

Seasonic S12II 520W ~3500/-

Hope this helps #chargedgod and happy Republic's day to all on this thread. Cheers!!

For your budget you gotta get HD6850 imho .

It's a proven overclocker and easily match HD6870 speeds .

But it tends to get hot .

So , get non refference models like from MSI twin frozr , asus , sapphire vapour-x etc .

Your proccessor is a slight bottleneck but hey , you can always get a new one after you've collected enough money .

Latest price of GPUs

Firstly I would like to apologize to the Moderators and fellow geeks for starting another thread which could have been asked in my earlier thread, but I lost it:( So basically I am asking the same question again. I had to wait long enough to buy a GPU and budget was a major problem for me---sorry I am a middle class boy:yahoo: My budget is 12k not one penny more

CPU-E7300 at 3.33GHz
4GB ddr3
Gigabyte g41mts2 rev 1.4
1 500 gb seagate 7200 and 1 250 gb seagate 7200
psu-Cooler Master Extreme 500w--Ya Ya I know it's a crap BUT until and unless my system is using more than 295watt(+ - 10 watt) it provides >80% efficiency and comply with atx standard for noise and ripple

Suggest cheapest price/manufacturer and which shop with location of shop:-For HD 6850(Avoid models with 2 6pin pcie-e PCBs)
For HD 7770(BEDD Ghost Thermal) also help me if this will be supported by my mobo(pcie 1.1 slot)

I will buy on Monday or Tuesday.

No problem. You can find your old posts/threads by going to your profile > Find latest posts / Find latest started threads :)

As the PCIe standard is physically backwards compatible you need not worry about the cards not working on your current setup, just that they might not perform at 100%. But that is to be expected, benchmark systems run under controlled circumstances which is not the case with your OR mine home RIG.

Also in the ~12000/- budget category you can look at the following graphics card apart from the HD 6850 and 7770GHz edition --
nVidia GTX 560 ~12100/-
AMD HD 6870 ~12500/-

Here are the bench runs for these cards [against the HD 7770GHz edition as a control] --
AnandTech - Bench - GPU12
AnandTech - Bench - GPU12
AnandTech - Bench - GPU12

Hope this helps, Cheerio!!

zotac 560Ti is available with us for 13k shipped

If you want to sell PC Peripherals / components online like this please talk to the MOD's and ADMIN's to get yourself a sub-section in the Dealer's Paradise.

If this is an individual sale event with no motive of profit then start a thread in the Member's Market section of the forums.

Also, I will not recommend running a GTX 560Ti of a Cooler Master Xtreme Power Pro even under the most optimistic of scenarios.

Sure I will ask mods admins regarding sale rights. Thanks for telling this info to me. Yes I agree, CM Extreme power plus is not strong enough to deliver quality power under high load.
