Storage Solutions Help decide a hdd...

i want to make a gaming rig..... I want two similiar pair of hdd which should be sata II with NCQ, so that i can put them in RAID 0.

I have not set aside a budget, because i am pretty confused.... Those on RAID 0 please state the pros of their combinations and help me out..... Should i go for a 80 Gb pair or a 160 GB pair...????

Get the 160GB Seagate Barracuda's 7200.10 or the 7200.9 ST3160212A , though it depends on the amount of storage capacity you require, the 160GB's would have more density per platter, which would mean better performance in RAID 0, are you going to use these drives for storage as well ? cause it's very difficult to recover data if a RAID 0 setup goes bad.

One of the BEST 160GB HDDs available today is the new Seagate 7200.9 ST3160811AS it is a single platter HDD... very fast I think it is priced at 3.1k ... see Apollyon's post number 67 on this page for results......

Get 2 x 250GB Seagate SATA II NCQ 7200.10 or better drives, >400GB space for less than 8k
