Hi friends,
I decided to buy a laptop, so I went to Nehru Place and find some good models with Asus and Lenovo. I dropped Dell as it was not coming in my budget of 40k.
I selected two laptops, one from Asus and one from Lenovo. The details are as follows:

Asus K40In-VX104C

Intel C2D T6600 (2.2GHz)
Win 7 Home Basic
Nvidia G102M (512MB)
14.0" HD (LED backlit) display
4GB DDR2
320GB SATA HDD (5400rpm)
8x DVD Writer
WLAN 802.11b/g/n
1.3MP camera
6 cell battery
2yr global warranty & 1yr battery warranty
carry case Rs 37500/-

Lenovo G550 2958H2Q

Intel C2D T6600 (2.2GHz)
Win 7 Home Premium
Nvidia G210M (512MB)
15.6" LED Backlit Display
3GB DDR3 1066MHz
320GB SATA HDD (5400rpm)
8x DVD Writer
Intel 5100 b/g/n
1.3MP camera
6 cell battery
1 yr warranty
carry case @ Rs 39500/-

Which laptop should I go for? Which GPU is better G210M or G102M?

+1 for lenovo.

Also, guys, please dont forget to put in your purpose of the lappy.

Else, the advice is of no use. You may not even need a better GPU but we may recommend it. Whats the use then?

So please be specific.

Thank you!

dude. Lenovo's has better GPU, better display, RAM, better OS. And it is one of the most reliable vendors though ASUS is one of the best.

btw, Isn't Dell Inspiron available inside 40k??

I'll use it for gaming, watching HD movies and documentation work..

Dell Inspiron doesn't have any GPU and the Studio is getting out of my budget. Also, Dell has removed the basic indicators of HDD function, Wi-Fi, BT etc. which was available previously. Dell studio 14 is coming around 45k inclusive of all taxes and carry case and delivery will take 9-12 working days..
