Forum Feedback Help: I don't receive notifications for subscribed threads

This has been the case ever since TE switched from that other forum software back to VBulletin. I do get email notifications if I subscribe accordingly, but I don't get notifications in the forum UI like I used to get (the same place where you get notifications for private messages).

Am I the only one facing this problem?
 
Notifications is only for PM, Mentions, Quotes, Likes. Not for thread subscriptions.

As already stated, features in IPB wont exist in VB.
 
But the VB that was on TE before IPB did have notifications for thread subscriptions.

Whenever you subscribe to a thread, you get an option to view notifications "through your control panel only". But you never get notifications through your control panel.

Another minor inconvenience is that whenever you open a thread, you get automatically subscribed to it without any actual notifications anywhere. You then have to unsubscribe and resubscribe to show notifications via email.
 
Sorry but the CP does show subscribed threads. The problem is I never visited the CP before. :ashamed: I was expecting notifications to come up in the notifications drop-down. :ashamed: However I would like to point out that I did get notifications from the drop-down when TE was on VB before the time IPB was first put up. Not a huge inconvenience though, I suppose. I just have to bookmark the subscribed threads page.
 
I think you're getting confused. VB never had the Notifications drop down before. In fact the likes/mentions/quotes notification is a third party add-on to mimic IPB, not default VB functionality :)
