Help in some security & loop holes . PHP & MySql.

I have almost completed coding my site - IMDB . So, My major concerns - Since the site is based on segemented URL's i hav designed all the DB queries according to the Url's so playing with the url's may cause some security issues . Any tips regarding this . Since the framework is OOP oriented i am confused whic functions to declare private to avoid unwanted results.
