Hello Everyone,

I want to buy a 24" monitor for my workplace. I will do general office work and coding. It is not for gaming or photo/video editing.

90% time will be spent for work and 10% to view videos.

However since I spend over 10 hours every day in front of it I would want a good one.

So far I have come up with 2 options i.e. Dell Ultrasharp U2415 (20.5K) or LG 24MP88HM (14.7K).

The advantage with LG is the monitor looks good (no bezel) and is cheaper however Dell may have better display. LG 1920x1080 and Dell 1920x1200.

What should I do ?

Advice will be appreciated.

Cheers,
GR

Isn't Freesync only useful for gaming?

What is more useful for a work monitor is PWM free backlighting, which means no flicker, and an anti-glare coating so there aren't annoying reflections.
Both monitors have PWM free backlights and as with current gen IPS panels are using a light anti-glare coating, so both monitors are equally on par.

The Dell has a slight advantage with vertical space due to the 16:10 screen ratio, which some people find advantageous.
