Guys i am stuck between these 32 inchers

Philips 5609

Samsung B550

Sony W550
LG 32LH70YR Scarlet 2.0

Panasonic Latest Series with Alpha IPS Panel.(Dont remember the Model Number)

Usage is for SD Tata Sky and Movies and PS3 Gaming

Guys what to think about any 42 inch Plasma from Panasonic.

Price Range is max 45k

LG 32LH70YR
If you are from delhi you can directly buy it from the Distributor and save around 5000 bucks.
pm me ur contact details If you want the Distributor Details.

while W550A is the best amoung the models u have posted, buts its clearly way above ur 45k budget, only affordable if u buy them in the grey market,so either get the philips 5609 or the sony V550A better for sd.

Any body having an idea about the latest panasonic offerings...

well this years panasonic models offer no significant improvements over last year models.at the best they are average performers.

piyush what is the current size of your tv ?

Just compare sony samsung and panasonic at a showroom..!!
you`ll feel the difference yourself..!!

Question here is they set each model to best display that model.

I've heard it being suggested that all display settings should be set to default. What confuses me here is whether that is the optimal setting or not ?

If a model can be tweaked to show better than normal then isnt this underselling the product ?

well adjust each tv settings with to their best,i.e with respect to ur eyes.
most dealers get annoyed when u adjust the settings, which usually means turning down the backlight to low levels ,the harsh colors and all unwanted processing like mpeg, noise reduction etc.
sharpness is also set to quite high, but its should cross to about 10 in the case of sony lcds, after which they look artificial enhanced.

seeing a tv with default settings is a bad way judging.

Good, then it makes it easier to judge these sets based on their store settings which are tweaked for max effect.

Sony ones are the best LCD's out there in the market.
My understanding is they are best LCDs for SD content and thats it.

His usage says SD Tata Sky and PS3 gaming. So it means for his primary usage sony(SD Tata Sky) is the best.
