Help me to overclock E6750

I had a config of
XFX 650i Ultra/C2d E6750/4gb ram 800 Mhz/160GB HDD/9600Gt/Corsair Tx650w
with this config I was able to push my procy to 3.4 without any hassle

later I upgraded the system to
XFX 650i Ultra/C2d E6750/4gb ram/160GB + 500GB HDD/EVGA GTX 280/Corsair TX650
now the peb is with this config I am just able to max at 3.0 GHz

I want to run it at 3.4 desperately else 280 is bottlenecking in every games
plz help me out

I heard some rumors about nvidia chipset limiting the FSB for some reason,but while the other chipsets ;like p45 dont,what are your load and idle temps?at 3.0gHz

temps are idle 40 and load 55 @ 3.0
