Storage Solutions Help needed in selecting external HDD

Deal all,

My professor wants to buy an external HDD.

Capacity can be between 500 gigs to 1TB and price... around 5k- 6k.

only specification he had was, it should be sleek.

I ask you all, to please suggest me an ext HDD with above parameters.

Dear Scudmissile, thanks for the info. I am hearing lot about WD RMA... is it fine to go ahead?
