Hi guys,

I have bought a domain (rushhrs.com) from godaddy.com.

I have a free hosting account on byethost16.com.

My current website is accessible at gauviz.byethost16.com

Now i want to redirect

1) Omelette's to gauviz.byethost16.com (url should display rushhrs.com)
2) mail.rushhrs.com to mail.google.com/a/rushhrs.com.

For first case i added dns entry from byethost to godaddy and it worked. Is this the correct way to do it or should i use forwarding with masking.

Not able to get the second one. I added subdomain in godaddy.com but dosen't work. I also removed the byethost DNS entry but still dosen't work.

Please suggest the best way to do it, keeping in mind that i'm planning to move to paid hosting in future.

Thanks
Gauviz

To use your domain name for Google aps, you need to edit MX entry of the domain name.

does byethost16.com allow domain hosting, and do you have features like parked domain name or addon domain name features in your control panel??

@bennysachdev

Thanks for the input. i did the setup as asked and in the end it asked me to add cname "mail" at godaddy which i did but it's not working.

@ravi

Yes byethost does support addon domain and subdomain. I'm able to add the domain but not sure how to setup google apps for mail in this case.

ask byethost support to add required DNS records for your account. And your domain name would work for Google aps.

Hi gauviz,

in byethost control panel go to DNS Management>>CNAME

add mail in source and ghs.google.com in destination, wait for 2 hours and its done....
