Audio Help select a basic receiver for home theater

Folks,

Im looking to replace my aged Onkyo 5.1 receiver that does not take HDMI and seems to have issues decoding some of the newer digital audio streams send by the WDTV. To be frank, I have not done much research in shops for newer receivers, but Im sure the guru's in TE will let me make a choice.

Please suggest some basic receivers for less than 20k. Should have HDMI inputs and passthrough, 5.1 is enough and atleast two optical inputs.

Also with regards to ebay global, any idea if the prices are good in India ?

well one of the cheapest a/v recievers u can get from the US that supports all the present HD audio formats is this sony Amazon.com: Sony STR-DH800 7.1-Channel Audio Video Receiver (Black): Electronics

obviously take the power ratings with a pinch of salt, realistically power at all channels driven will be around 35watts/ch compared to advertised 110watts/ch ,similar to pioneer a/v receivers or low end yamaha a/v receivers.the onkyo 605 is around 80watts/ch.
