Dear Mods,
I would like your help on providing a negative rating for a TE member. Why i need your help is because the trade thread has mysteriously disappeared.I don't know how..its not closed, just disappeared.

The deal:

Karan (karan_n8) was selling a couple of used and new stuff in thread- [FS] : Watches Garage Sale, 2 Fastracks , 2 Swatches

There was a pair of black sunglasses in his thread that I fancied. He had put it as "Unused". He was selling it (on one day) at 700 and i thought it was a good deal. I asked him the approx price he said 1800 in marked ...then i called him, on phone he said 1400. I was a little cautious but then I thought...maybe thats the MRP and 1400 is what he haggled and got it for...it still seemed like a good deal so i asked him to hold it.. did a little quick background research...new member but had some (2) positive ratings...these were with old members so went ahead with the deal.
and made a neft for the said amount.
He said hes gonna ship through bluedart but sent it though blazeflash after a couple of days. It took 9 days to reach (ppl...dont use blazeflash)

When i opened the box...I was shocked...there was protection film on the glass like the pics..but what could not be seen in the pics was that these shades were useless.

The promise:
I was promised a pair of "Unused" pair of shades that were not used at all.This is what i got...

The delivery:
The cloth cover was dirty and did not look new (atleast used for 6 months)
The shades were covered in a sticky substance...I thought must be packing glue...so tried to remove it with a damp cloth. It wasnt to come off as it was not any sustance but the material which the shades were made from was melting.
On close inspection I saw that there were marks of abuse atleast in 3-4 places. Deep scatches on the body.
Even the temples were bent.
I may not be an expert on shades but anyone could see these were definitely not "Unused"
Anyone in/around mumbai navi mumbai is welcome to come and inspect them. drop me a pm.

I called up Karan and confronted him. He couldn't even provide a weak protest. Said things like..."Oh yeah, I know the cover is a lil' dirty...but I dint' say the cover was unused" and "Maybe it got spoilt in the courier...coz it was okay when i sent it" he then agreed to take the shades back.
The next day I got a message from him trying to paste me the other pair of sunglasses. This is how our conversation went in form of SMSes..these are the acatual words and not modified:

He later took my details again and then said some problem transferring from his SBI a/c or something. I asked him again today (21/06/2010) and he says he will make the payment when he "gets the time"

It isn't about the money... i dont think 700 bux would dent my (or yours) economic status drastically..its to caution TE members before dealing with karan_n8 as he may try to sell other stuff which are not what he promises.

I too was intended to buy a swatch watch from this guy, and I'm really thankful to him because he came to my college to show me up the watch. But it really looked like some cheap watch with loads of scratches on it. So I denied to take it. But to be true I was really thinking to buy it after looking at pics. The day you called an said you wertnt satisfied, I agreed to pay your money back, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. It was a friday and you called around 2. Like I had told you, my grand momther had expired a couple of days back, there were cermonies to be done apart from alot of other stuff at home. The next day FROM HARIDWAR I told a friend to do an electronic transfer for you just so that you are at peace.It did not go through since the aprroval needed a day.On sunday afternoon I got back and banks were shut. Monday morning 10 o clock I personally went 11 kms from my place on a frigging auto rickshaw to your bank because starngely you did not have the courtsey to offer another account in the numerous other banks I told you I could go to. The cover on the shades is NOT A PART OF THE ORIGINAL CONTENTS, I put in the cover which actually belongs to my personal shades just so that the shades dont get any scratches during transit ! As far as the shades are concerned, I shipped them on the 6th ! You paid on the 4th/3rd ! I went to the guy on the 5th but since it was a saturday the courier left after the weekend.I put up the tracking number of the same on the htread the very same night and you ackowledged getting it ! I messaged it again after the thread dissappeared ! If the shades remain in transit in this delhi heat of 45 degrees , it will be no bummer that they got spoilt ! The pics were up, you saw them and also agreed that they were the same shades I courirerd ! I dont know about you but I take off the protectors off the glass when I wear new shades. Tell you what nimit, you have alot of time oin your hand to do all of this. you wana submit a negetive rating, go ahead do it. But you shold know, if I wanted to make money , it would be something way greater than 700 bucks. Like I said , I did not even ask for the shades after that way you behaved and TIL DATE you haven shipped them. 3 Days after you got your complete refund ! Go ahead and what you want man, but just know that you need to have patience when there is tragedy in the family and that not everybody in the world is trying to cheat you. You got your money, like you asked, in your account. I dont see where did you go through more discomfort than what I did ! So be the moral police all you want and do whatever the heck you want to.Just because a memeber is younger on the forum than you are doesnt make him a thug.
As far as the mayank guy is concerned, I travelled all the way to your freaking college so that its of no trouble to you, you did nto like the watch I went back ! If you prove the watch is a fake I shall Pay you 6000 upfront ! You get a swatch for 1500 and you want it in immaculate condition ! Wow ! I still never even uttered anything ! I gave you the option that I will get the original glass buffed of you wait for a day so there are no scratches , that too at my cost ! Next time do not promise to buy if you dint have the funds.

If he paid your money back, and that too at the earliest in such a situation then I dont see the need to do what youre doing poga.It is clearly a case of the buyer not liking the stuff, which the seller agreed to take back.

If you prove the watch is a fake I shall Pay you 6000 upfront ! You get a swatch for 1500 and you want it in immaculate condition ! Wow ! I still never even uttered anything ! U know that day I was carrying more than 5k with me as by seeing pics I 90% decided to buy the watch but on seeing its condition I was really shocked. Listen, I never said that u have a replica or a fake watch. Check the first line of my post in which I was thanking u for ur effort that u come to my college and showed up the watch. And mate, if I ain't had funds I would never asked u to show me up the watch.

Henceforth please be careful not to deal with sellers if clear products are not visible and to report the threads before buying rather than after.

Yes..I checked today and have got the refund. Karan has made cash deposit (even though i said neft or cheque) so 50 bux got deducted from my a/c...
Not cribbin karan, but next time stick to the payment method mentioned.
I shall be shipping the shades tomorrow.

I am sorry for your loss but thats no excuse to act like a arrogant fool. You can 'frig' and 'freak' all you want and there was no need if your highness did not feel like replying.
Its not that I have too much time to spare- but I dont take to being cheated lightly.
You call me cheap when its you who says 'i will deposit 50 rs less'.
Being new on the forum does not make you a 'thug' ...acting the way you did does.

The money has been paid. I feel negative reps are not only for cheats...but also for 'attempted cheating'. Unwillingness to cooperate and rudeness are no positive traits too.

I never tried to fight...I just asked karan to refund. Hes the one who started bad mouthing. If you have douts..check his post..its as if hes doing a favor by replying. Maybe he took trouble to pay/courier but doesnt everybody. I too called blazeflash (courier) a dozen times and in fact drove to their office but I am not highlighting these things.
If mods think issue is resolved.Please close the thread or instruct me to do so.

I beg your pardon, the pics of the ITEMS DEALT WERE PUT UP ! After he bought the same, I found I had another of the same but did not upload the pics since nobody showed interest and was not put up for sale ! It is not revenge rating boss, the deal went bad for both of us.I suffered discomfort too, if not more than atleast equivalent.Hence the rating.After the money being deposited, he did not ship the article for 3 days.Today when I brought it to notice here, he asked me for the address ! To which I gladly told him to keep the article as well as the money ! Hence the rating.Its only unfair if I dont get to rate the deal sir.

You're mistaken sir.Please check the account where I uploaded the pics.As a matter of fact Poga saw the pictures.Not only of the shades he bought but also of the other pair which were up.IE the Maroon ones ! 6 other memebers wanted to buy the shades after looking at the pics ! Please check my pms if you wish to check. Hence , the negetive rating. 3 pics of the shades were put up. Which poga confessed to look at and buy.

Contrary to your belief, I do have a hectic schedule so got to know you deposited only when you messaged.

I have been a member on this forum for close to 3 years now and although I am not as active as I want to be coz of time, I highly recommend it to anyone interested in gadgets,gizmos and such.Let me tell you never have I came across people like you. You are here to spoil the rep of this forum.

I cant stop you from yapping but let me warn you. You are crossing your boundaries when you called me yesterday and started abusing me. I have tolerated a lot because of my respect for this forum but if you try another stunt like that, I will take it personally and I WILL WHOOP YOUR ARSE.
