Hey guys!

I have been having problems in media sharing with my phone, LG Optimus 2x and Samsung LED TV. I Tried both LG's Smartshare and iMediashare apps.

The TV which is connected to the router via 'Ethernet' is not being detected. Is the problem because of my TV being connected via Ethernet?

Again The phone is not detecting the DLNA server on my computer when its connected through ethernet but detects when the pc is connected wirelessly.

Since both my phone and TV are on the same network shouldn't the TV be detected?:S Am i Missing something here?:@

Which router do you have?

The router should be able to have a DLNA server regardless if you're doing this over WiFi or Ethernet. You might want to try updating the firmware of your router or resetting it.

Well there shouldn't be any DLNA settings in the router. Maybe, some inbuilt security is preventing a wireless device that is connected to the router from communicating with a fixed device or maybe the router is plain faulty. Did you try resetting the router? or checking for an updated firware?

There r no firmware updates available.

Weird thing is my ps3 through wifi is streaming media from the pc with no problems!

The problem is with the phone and the tv :(

Edit: Checked all my router settings.

Why is the server being detected when i connect my PC via WiFi and not through Ethernet? Since the server is being detected via WiFi this rules out wrong upnp config of my router right?
