I'm guessing everyone knows about the whole cow slaughter/trade ban and the opposition to it from states like Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Yesterday, there were these posts about "Dravidanadu" doing the rounds on Twitter. Today a fecking judge from the Rajasthan High Court said this:

"The peacock is a lifelong brahmachari (celibate). It never has sex with the peahen. The peahen gets pregnant after swallowing the tears of the peacock," Judge Mahesh Chandra Sharma told reporters.

What's going on? Is it the typical pot stirring by politicians with an eye on the 2019 elections or are we as a nation (not just the cities) actually think and believe in the whole 'sacred' cow and all that jazz?

It's just Tamils thinking they are edgy and more intelligent even without knowing what notification government passed.
They didn't ban beef.

Coming out on the road and spreading hooligan like they did few months ago during that jalikattu incident.

Most likely politically inspired but still ridiculous.

To be honest i don't even care about tamil nadu as a state when they literally worship Rajnikanth and jayalitha even after knowing how dirty she was. Not only that but hundreds of people killing themselves after her death.

It doesn't matter
All that matters is if they got benefited from that particular person
Jayalalitha despite getting involved in many scams (directly or indirectly) did introduce many schemes in TamilNadu particularly targeted towards poor. The poor and uneducated are always loyal

Stereotype much?

Don't you think you could have utilized the time and effort you spent typing out the last 3-4 lines to support/explain the points put forth in the first 2-3 lines of your post instead of ranting against the people of Tamil Nadu or trying to drive home your view of the state and it's people? :p

In short: I'm interested to read more about the bits that have not been struck through in my quote of your post.

Well, after reading this, all I can remember is Irrfan Khan (yeah, these actors and their numerology :banghead:) going about 'Dharam Pracharak asans' in Talvar when I read that peacock statement :D

Why, next there will be some comment about the Bengal tiger as well.

They should change the national animal to the donkey because our govt/leadership/bureaucracy are full of asses.

Heck even the courts are full of morons. And even they think banning stuff at one point and then forcing other things are the solution to running a democracy.

And yes, even i don't like tamil nadu, but specifically the weather there, nothing else, but it's pretty racist and immature to generalise and stereotype an entire state and it's people.

I know this site isn't exactly reliable, but i shudder to think at the possible bias behind judgements passed by this guy. Should be in a loony bin not a high court bench.

I used to think that stuff like this in a joke and not to be taken seriously up to a couple of years back but people like the judge among others somehow seem to have a lot more power and ability to decide what is right for the rest of the country now. It is really scary imo. Lots of comments on social media are about pointing out how nobody organised a pork festival but fwict pig slaughter was never banned in any form in India. Also, it is ridiculous that all these so called Hindus really want to be living in a country that is ruled by something akin to sharia.

I think majority of Indians what India to become Sanghistan. Ache Din. BJP consolidating all the Hindu votes.

Not sure dietary preference of some are the concerns of others. Are we seeing beginnings of a religious riot?

To people in Kerala, Hindus from north are saying "look at middle east you commies. You cannot eat pork there. So a ban on beef on a Hindu nation is ok."

All keralites are commies and anti nationals to people in the cow belt now.

Which is again an ignorance. You get Pork in Dubai legally.

I'll admit, saudi is another matter though, but any sane person shouldn't be living there out of choice anyway. People are currently paying agents 3 lakhs for a job in saudi, for a high demand job that too (nursing). Morons everywhere...

What is this covfefe?

cowfefe?

You have to appreciate how the leaders of two of the biggest nations in the world are alternately able to make us laugh and cry so much ;-)

Read few Hindu groups(is that thing?) convened in Goa to decide how and if to make India a Hindu Rashtra (Sanghistan is real) in 2023 or so.

o_Oo_O

Congrats all around people. /s
