Crap.. just realized I had to post this in General portables. Can the mods move the thread to the other sub-forum please?

No problem mate, it's an hot deal ;)

I too got a mail from them yesterday.

Do you think that it's worth for $79? (I mean, is it a reliable brand?)

This looks cool and good for the price. I was not able to find any chinese player from which this has been rebranded so it seems it is their own or from a source unknown to me.
They have not mentioned the chipset being used in this.

Seems pretty close to the WD Media player. If you just want a no frills player that plays most of your downloaded content then this is a good bet. And it does the job in a small package. The firmware is updatable so expect new formats to be supported.

The review mentioned that MKV files with DTS audio was playing mute, but they hope to fix that with firmware soon.

The menu layout and general features are simple and uncomplicated. Your grandma could use it without a problem. It seemed to trump the WD Media player in some areas and thats good.

Overall - an excellent deal for $80. Dont know if shipping is extra.

Thats good to know.Mp4Nation provides free shipping.'Course it takes a minimum 3 weeks that way as far as I know(my soundmagic did). But They have other shipping options too I think.I guess for a little more price they have some fast shipping option.

Oh - is it reliable? Cause, I ordered stuff from DX and some moderately expensive stuff never came. I hope these come thru smooth if I order them.

I dont mind the wait - just that they should come safely.
