Was reading in the introduction lounge how new members signing up in TE dont have access to the FAQ's or rules when they join.

Like in many of the forums, how about making a "Read before you post" or "FAQ's" thread or section?

Alternatively just move the Forum feedback section to the top of all the sections and put this FAQ/ Read before.. thread in there as a sticky.

It should help majority of the newcomers to get familiar with the rules.

But in a way, with all the petty issues raised in forum feedback i'm all for creating a separate thread at top, right above site announcements where all this FAQ information will be visible to newcomers.

There's no link on the forums page going to faq or rules at present though.

Its a lot of additional work, but will be good in long run. Don't know how others feel about this though. I just put forth my views here. :)

Willing to help if required :)

Good idea. IIRC BWT tracker has such kind of system where that you have to read before you proceed thing appears. Can same thing be applied here ?

I had the same problem this month when i joined in.

I even got infracted 2 times for not knowing the rules

We should make Rules and Regulationsa sticky in The Introduction Lounge so , newbies can read it before posting anything

^ if you mean inconsistency, someone pointed at this some time back:

in this post:

For Signatures Containing Only Images: 1 image up to 500 pixels wide and 150 pixels tall and 50KB in size. This includes multiple images, the total size of the images should not exceed 40KB and must not be more than 500 Pixels Wide combined and 150 Pixels High combined. You cannot use smilies in such a sig. No blank lines, smilies or text is allowed.

Since its 40 everywhere for text and image signature's too, maybe this should also be 40?

I think I found one more mistake in this post:

For all sales made within TE, the nature of the items and any disputes arising out of the sale of the item inclusive of damage, quality and transportation issues, monetary loss etc., are sole responsibility of the DEALERS and participating MEMBERS. They are expected to solve any such issues independently by themselves. TE or its staff are in no way responsible for it and will not entertain any communication in this regard. However, you can rate a deal or DEALER as good or bad using the facility mentioned in (7) above. TE shall not be liable in any way.

Should be (8) above, since (7) is Off-site hot-linking or watermarking is not allowed. ....

and (8) is There will be a rating system where regular MEMBERS will be asked to rate the DEALERS based on user satisfaction.....
