I am not sure how this works on both desktop and android, hence the question.

Example:
5 members have made reply to a topic before me. Each averaging from 3 to 20 lines of content.

I want to quote replies from 3 members in my new post.
For one the member I want to select only 3 lines out of 9 line reply he/she made.

Hope I am able to explain my question?
How can I do this on desktop and Android browser?

  1. Hit + Quote for each reply you want to quote
  2. In the reply box at the end of the page, hit Insert Quotes
  3. Re-order the quotes if necessary by dragging
  4. Hit Quote Messages
  5. Delete all the text except what you're addressing. Most often there really is no need to quote the entire message, keep it as short as possible to get proper context
On phone:
  1. it's easier if you hit the Reply button next to each message you want to quote.
  2. That will insert that particular message to reply box which you can then trim.
  3. Once you type your reply to that, scroll up and hit Reply for the next message you want to address.

Thanks, I never checked the insert quotes box..
Now selected only 4 lines and quote works as required for 1 reply atleast.
