Forum Feedback How the reporting system works?

Hi

I want to know how the report system works in TE?

I am asking this because, I have reported few posts in the past (even today) but did not see any kind of action taken on those posts. May be I was overzealous in complaining thats why no action were taken on them. But what intrigued me was there was no acknowledgment from moderator on receipt of my report.

Hence, My question is when a TE member reports a post for its content or something else which according to them is not within the forum rules, will he /she ever get an explanation (or at least an acknowledgment) from Mod on whether action will be taken or not on the said post?

usually not. If the mods think that action is needed, they will do that

But I don't think they will follow that up with you.

Thanks Greenhorn, for the reply.

Since I used to receiving acknowledgment (if not an action on reported post) from Mods in most of the forums (Political and Cricket related ones) that I am member of, I had a doubt whether a similar system is followed in TE or not.

considering the volume of reported posts received every day it will be tough to follow up or give feedback to each reporter. If any action needs to be taken it will be done
