How to delete a file from my phone?

hey guys have a small query. My phone came preloaded with some stupid Spiderman 3 video which takes up 3 MB of space. Now when i try deleting it it says, "protected file cannot be deleted". I tried accessing the phone through my computer and the default files(ie preloaded ringtones,pictures,videos) do not even show up in the folders. So im unable to delete the video. Is there any other way to do it?
 
umm not sure if this works on sony..but try connecting it to the comp via data cable or bluetooth..navigate to the folder the video is stored in and goto properties and remove read only and then try to delete it..
 
^^Oh yeah forgot to mention the phone, k510i. I already tried that

Havent tried a complete format tho, ill give it a shot
 
Some games and proggies that come preinstalled are installed into the rom memory, undeleteable. I know this was the case with snake3d and some ice skating games in my N70.
