How to find max RAM + SSD upgrade (Asus Zenbook UX303UB)

I have an old Asus Zenbook UX303UB from year 2016. It has 8gb RAM (4gb onboard + 4gb stick). It has recently slowed down so I'm thinking of upgrading the ram and hdd with sdd. Wondering what would be the max upgrade possible in the ram (ddr3?ddr4? max frequency?). Could someone help / point to the right direction?

Well, hwinfo shows DDR3 so you can put a 8GB stick to max it at 12GB total. 1600Mhz would be fine.

As for SSD please refer to laptop's manual if you can install M.2 or not else any 2.5" SATA would definitely work out to swap the HDD.

1. Is 8gb the highest memory size for ddr3? I thought maybe I'll try to get a 16gb one? What could be the limiter here?
2. I was checking out the ram frequency on hwinfo. It was dynamic for the onboard ram but going upto ~800 MHz. Can I increase this to 1600 MHz? I couldn't find any option in the bios for Intel.. like we have xmp for AMD.
