How to make a new house IoT ready?

I have bought a new house, and it’s interior work will be starting in 15 days. What things I should focus on to make it ready for upcoming IOT technologies?

I am already doing LAN wiring in every room, wires for home theatre, consoles and TV, USB charging sockets etc. What else can I do?

Also, not many people focus on security. Do get a firewall device if possible, to isolate IOT devices.
Remember the S in IOT stands for security.

Depending on budget, you can have as little as few smart bulbs to full LTT mode with smart heating and cooling, lighting, security with automation.
