how TO ??? N73

well i bought myself a N73 just 2 days back !

but find it bit slow as compared to my K790i... but later found a solution for it
as one of the member from TE mentioned about applying the European firmware on the cell..

May i know how to do it ?

please HELP
 
hi dingemini312 even i faced the similar problem the phone was lil bit slow what u can do is connect ur phone to ur PC thru PC suite then download the latest firmware updater and follow the instructions the new update is V 4.0726.2.0.1 dt:26-06-2007 by doing this ur phone will be updated be carefull while updating follow the the instructions given below
1) Charge ur cell completely
2) make sure tat u dont have any power fluctuations its better to use it on a pc with UPS
3) make sure tat u dont recive any phone calls during updation its better u use a dummy sim
4) backup ur data to the memory card and remove the card from the cell phone or it may happen so tat ur memory card gets locked which can be never unlocked i had same problem during ma first update ma mem card got screwed

updater which i installed .. is shit . it shows that the latest version is the one which is available already in my cell that is 8 months old.
where did u download your from ??
or may be your cell is of Europe Region?

please help
 
well if the Nokia updates shows that you have the latest firmware, then maybe your friend update it...

as for it being slower than K790i... it is slower... and even after the firmware upgrade it wont be that fast...
 
dont compare the n series with sony or moto, they r s l o wwww!!! n no tweak will make them that fast xcept keep your memory as free as possible.
 
the N series runs a full blown OS...it will feel slow in comparison to fixed firmware phones like SE K series

However, the biggest effect on the response times will come from using light themes on the UI (e.g. the plain Nokia or the s60 theme)
