How to price a tech item?

How do you objectively place a price on a tech item? Is there any broad norm around acceptable pricing? Maybe some rough formula based on Current rate? What if currently a product isn't available?

Sometimes I see a product and I'm interested. I don't want to lowball (and maybe offend the seller) but i also don't want to overpay.

A lot of things could be the deciding factor.

•How old is the product?
•Is it under warranty?
•Wear and tear under use (eg battery health of an Iphone could help in determining the use and value)
•Price the person paid to purchase it
•Current market price
•If it’s a discontinued product than the average market price could help in determining it.

But there is no proper logic or formula to get the most accurate answer.

I know of most of these. But I'm trying to learn how to value these variables.

I hope there is an acceptable logic for using all what you mentioned. Otherwise random proce offering isn't very efficient during transactions.

I personally feel cashify price plus 3-10k depending on product is a fair value. Not the many price it that way but imo is the best case scenario.

Edit: Cashify price as in the amount they're gonna pay you.
