Audio How to replace wire INSIDE headphones?

I have a old steelseries headphone (which i'm currently using) that doesn't produce sound in the right side. I decided to open it up and look for the issue, which was a scratched wire in the rotating part of the earcup that goes above the headband to the left side, i tried to "fix" the wire but only made it worse (visually atleast), there is still no sound in right side but the light remain on. I think i f'd up the wire so much that i need to replace it now, but idk how to tell which wire i need.. Do i buy any wire that has same number of wires as the soldering spots or something?
