Storage Solutions How to RMA in this case for Seagate?

My brothers office disposes/ sells off old electronic stuff to its scrap vendors every 2 years. After giving it to scrap vendor still some leftover stuff was found later and it was circulated among the interested people on first cum-first serve basis. Thus bro got 2 hard-drives and a mouse.

They all are working good though but both the disks health is in very bad condition.

Just for fluke we tried checking for warranty and surprisingly one of the disks was found still under warranty.;)

But it says please contact the vendor or still we can create a direct rma.

My main query-- bro already resigned and served his last working day yesterday.
  1. So if he gives this disk for replacement will it again go to the vendor and then sent it back to his office?
  2. If we rma directly to seagate will vendor come to know about replacement if this disk from seagate?
  3. Or will the disk be replaced just like normally we get it done without intimidating vendor etc??

I had lost the the invoice of My HDD and went directly to the service center, where they submitted my drive and gave an rma receipt.
After a week I got a call to collect the new drive.
So I think you should visit a nearby service center.
They won't ask for invoice if it shows in warranty through serial number.
